Excursions to Chernobyl

Exclusion Zone have gained increased popularity of late. This has been reported by Radio Liberty with the reference to the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine, Ostap Semyrak. “Ministry data show that over 63 thousand people have visited Chernobyl Exclusion Zone this year. While in 2017 this figure amounted to over 49 thousand, and 2016 saw only 36 thousand visitors”, – says the report. Mr. Semyrak also noted that during 2014 only 8 thousand visitors visited Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. It should be noted that in spring the State Specialized Enterprise Chernobyl Nuclear Power Station launched the program for those who wish to visit it.
