Underground Lviv





Excursion will show you the city from a very different side. The public area of the catacombs includes: the basement of the Church of the Jesuits with gallery “Ravlyk”(verbatim from the Ukrainian “Snail”). Each hole in the basement, each found object can tell how once people lived, created, traded. The basements of the museum is: pharmacy, Bernardine Monastery, Church of the Transfiguration, tunnels and channels under the entire central part of the city, the ancient passages of Lviv sewage tunnels under the High Castle and the Bald Mountain, Museum of Folk Architecture and Life “Shevchenko Grove”; Museum of Brewing and the most interesting object in the underground – Jesuit Church – a sarcophagus made of solid stone, found in the 18th century.
