The dendrological park “Sofiyivka” (Uman)

The dendrological park “Sofiyivka” is situated in the town of Uman, Cherkasy region, is well-known far beyond the borders of Ukraine. Park was founded in 1796. The author of the architectural design and construction manager of the park was a Polish military engineer, and all work performed in the park was made directly by Uman serfs. The park is planted with trees of local towns and exotic plants that were brought from different countries.
Everywhere streams with beautiful bridges, waterfalls, fountains and lakes with swans. No wonder they say that every citizen of Ukraine: once in your life should visit the Sophia park. At any time of the year – the park is beautiful in its own way.
