Day 1 Kyiv
– Meeting at the Internationl Borispol airport.
– Transfer from the airpost to Kyiv.
– Check-in ad the hotel.
Day 2 Кyiv
08:00-09:00 Breakfast at the hotel.
09:00-12:00 City tour with a visit to St. Sophia Cathedral – a unique monument of ancient architecture, built in the early 11th century. Majestic Cathedral with lots of domes was the religious, political and cultural center of the powerful East Slavic state of Kyivan Rus. Today special interests in St. Sophia Cathedral represent the original 11th century frescoes and mosaics, which retained its beauty to our days.
Visit to Mikhailovsky Golden Dome and Vladimyr Cathedral.
12:00-13:00 Lunch at a local restaurant.
13:00-18:00 After the lunch visit to Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra – unique historical and archeological ensemble of 11-19 centuries.
This is one of the most famous sights of the capital.
Kyiv-Pechersk friary was founded in 1051, and became a centre for the dissemination and adoption of Christianity in Kyivan Rus, spiritual, enlightenment and cultural centre.
18:00-19:00 Dinner at a local restaurant.
19:00 Transfer to the hotel.
Day 3 Кiev – Pereyaslav – Khmelnytskyi – Kyiv
08:00-08:30 Breakfast at the hotel.
08:30-10:00 Transfer to Pereyaslav – Khmelnytskyi by bus.
10:00-13:00 Visit to Gregory Skovoroda museum, where you can see the facsimile edition of peresopnytsia Gospel. Also you will see uniques paintings, furniture, books and at the end – student class of Gregory Skovoroda.
Transfer to the museum of Taras Grygorovych Shechenko “Zapovit” (“The Will”). Unique weapon exhibits including – personal saber of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, the last page of Ostrog Bible of 1581 year, the room where Taras Shevchenko being in a serious condition if illness wrote his “Zapovit” (“The Will”).
13:00-14:00 Lunch at local restaurant.
14:00-18:00 Transfer to the Museum of Folk Archtecture and Life of Naddnipryanska Ukraine. Museum area is about 30 hectares. Central place is occupied by rural courtyards with gardens and flower beds. You can see the way of life of different population groups here: carpenter and beekeeper, blacksmith and potter, weaver and cooper; here is the pauper and middle peasant house, landless man and wise woman house, and the house of wealthy landowner. There are 13 museums in total (including bread, apiculture and land transport museums). The most impressive is the museum of Rushnyk (towel).
Part of the exhibits is reconstructed, but many of them are the originals.
18:00-19:00 Dinner at a local restaurant.
19:00-20:30 Transfer to Kyiv by bus.
Day 4 Kyiv
08:00-09:00 Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out.
09:00-12:00 Visit to Andriivskyi Uzviz (Descent). The place that starts from St. Andrew’s Church will impress you with its unique atmosphere. Numerous art galleries and shops of folk and applied art make this romantic street the cultural center of Kyiv. You will have an opportunity to buy Ukrainian souvenirs.
St. Andrew’s Church a striking piece of baroque architecture of XVIII c. built according to the designs of well-known architect B.Rastrelli on the top of Vladimir’s Hill.
